What DriverStart is

DriverStart is a free informational guide and referral service that helps people understand the steps to start driving for third-party gig platforms. We are not an employer, a staffing agency, an insurer, a lender, a background-check provider, or a party to any vehicle rental. We do not hire drivers and we do not pay you to complete any step.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee that you will be accepted by any platform, that you will earn any particular amount, that coverage will be available to you, or that any car match will be found. All decisions about you are made by the third parties you apply to, under their own terms.

Third-party services and links

The site links to third-party services. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, decisions, pricing, or practices. Your dealings with them are solely between you and them.

Car introductions

Where we connect a driver and a vehicle owner, we only make an introduction. We do not screen vehicles or people, hold funds, or provide insurance. Each party is responsible for its own rental agreement, eligibility, and coverage. Driving for hire generally requires commercial/rideshare coverage; a personal auto policy typically does not apply.

Eligibility

You must be of legal age and meet each platform's own requirements. The site is intended for use in the United States.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SSAFF is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any third-party service reached through it.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
